hello hello hello 2012

Would you look at that. It’s 2012 already. Time is such a strange thing, isn’t it? Our hours and days seem so long sometimes, but there’s no denying how short each year feels — and it just hits you once December comes.
I still see these things the same way I did last year, and I’d like to say something else this time to avoid redundancy. I guess the only difference is that a few days ago, I spent my New Year’s Eve differently. And what a difference it was from my routine family dinners + karaoke (not that I am ungrateful for those celebrations. It’s one of the things I adore most about my family tbh).
Anyway, bigger photos under the cut with random dribble here and there, though if you’re my friend on Facebook, you’ve most likely seen these already!

I spent the countdown with Travis smack in the middle of the Paseo de Roxas & Makati Ave. intersection along with hundreds of others in
varying states of readiness and dress (or undress)
aka people with sparklers, people in party hats…and people in pyjamas. Go figure.
But me and Trav? We had wine ready. Can’t say the same about the glasses, though. Haha.

The fireworks were fantastic obvs, and made me really really really wish my camera were a newer model that could record video.
Anyway, here is a little vanity for you.

Let’s pretend my blog is a fashion blog, so lemme list down the what-I-wore’s. Chos.

Top from Singapore | Cardigan from Comme des Garcons x H&M | Skirt from Cotton On
Shoes from Comfit | Bag from Philippe Charriol
This all happened during half time of the Arsenal v QPR match. Trav counterflowed along Makati Ave. like a boss back to Handlebar for us to see Arsenal win 1-0. We had our windows down for him to randomly greet people on the street a Happy New Year. His energy is contagious, so I followed suit hahaha.
We then found ourselves at a rooftop at the Fort. The view was a bit of a bust since we could hardly see the city through the smoke. Casualty of a bonggga New Year’s celebration, I guess. It was still great being there, though.

3 bottles were opened that night. And, like the classy motherlovers that we are, we consumed them directly from the bottle.

The kids who showed up that night.
Hi Judd, Aleli, Nissy, Eunice and Travis! Joseph went with a friend, but he was late.
So. Anyway.
I tried my best to document the night (…somewhat), and subsequently blinded the others with my camera’s broken flash. It overcompensates for…well, nothing. It’s a fighter like that.

See what I mean about blinding people?

But I guess Judd, Aleli and Nissy weren’t bothered by the bright, flashing light. They’re prolly used to it.
Lifestyle of the rich and famous or something?

Eunice and Judd.

Aleli and her feathers.

Nissy, her red red hair, and the end of the world.

And then there was Joseph with his friend (or-non friend?) Luke.
I’m not talking about the bottle btw. Luke is a real person. A ~*~special~*~ afam for Aleli.

Conversations happened that night, not a lot of which I really cared to remember. Oops.

Something about…minorities. And I quote/copy-paste Judd: It’s something about light and quantities and status quos.
Also something about where we should head after. There was the option of Sky or Opus or Attica.

We ended up at Fiamma, where magic for Aleli happened. Haha.
I honestly doubt this’ll happen again for me next year. Oh well.
Have a good one, folks. Cheers.
